I offer specialist psychological consultation and assessment for dissociation, stress- or trauma-related situations, and attachment-related difficulties. These services are designed to provide an in-depth psychological formulation, particularly where experiences involve memory disruption, self or identity confusion, depersonalisation, derealisation, or complex trauma, together with careful diagnostic clarification where appropriate.
Dissociative symptoms are often misunderstood or misdiagnosed. A structured specialist assessment can help clarify the nature of these experiences and provide clear recommendations for treatment. The aim is to provide a detailed psychological formulation to guide treatment and recovery, together with diagnostic clarification where this is sought.
My approach integrates clinical interview with validated dissociation, trauma, and attachment measures widely used in specialist psychological assessment, conducted in accordance with established clinical and professional standards.
Consideration is also given to temperament and neurodevelopmental factors, including sensitive temperament and neurodiversity, where clinically relevant. More comprehensive assessment of these areas can be arranged separately if required.
All consultations and assessments are conducted online.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call, which provides an opportunity to briefly discuss your situation and determine whether consultation or specialist assessment would be helpful in clarifying your experiences and identifying the most appropriate next steps. This also allows time to explain the available options and answer any initial questions. Click here to schedule this.
A 50-minute consultation to understand your concerns, consider possible diagnoses where appropriate, and discuss recommendations. Brief screening measures for trauma and dissociation are completed beforehand where clinically relevant and help inform the consultation. A brief written note summarising recommendations can be provided if clinically appropriate and agreed in advance.
A comprehensive specialist psychological assessment is conducted over 3–4 sessions. It includes detailed clinical interview and the use of validated psychological measures where clinically indicated to evaluate dissociation, trauma-related symptoms, and attachment processes. A feedback session is provided to explain the findings, including diagnostic clarification where appropriate, an integrated psychological formulation, and clear recommendations for treatment.
Following the assessment, you may choose either a clinical summary letter or a full comprehensive report.
Includes the full specialist assessment process together with a brief clinical summary letter (1–2 pages) outlining the key findings and treatment recommendations.
This option is suitable for personal understanding and to guide decisions about treatment.
If a full comprehensive report is later required for clinical, occupational, insurance, or other professional purposes, this can be prepared for an additional fee of £500.
Includes the full specialist assessment process together with a comprehensive written report (typically 8–12 pages), providing detailed documentation of assessment findings, diagnostic considerations, psychological formulation, and treatment recommendations.
Includes the full comprehensive assessment process together with a structured written report. This report can be provided in a format suitable for clinical, insurance, occupational, or other professional purposes, upon request.
Fee for consultation is payable before the session.
Fee for assessments is structured as £600 payable prior to the first session, with the remainder payable before the feedback session.
No VAT charge is added to these fees.
