Realizing the potential of each aspect of who you are
Chartered Consultant Psychologist & Associate Fellow (British Psychological Society)
Honorary Associate Professor (City St George's, University of London)
HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist
International Attachment Network, Executive Committee, Educator & Clinical Supervisor
Research, Education, Assessment & Supervision in Trauma, Dissociation, Attachment, Personality & Neurodiversity
I am a Chartered and HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist, neuroscientist and Honorary Associate Professor offering specialist psychological therapy and assessment internationally online.
My work combines detailed psychological formulation, validated psychological measurement, neuroscience, attachment theory, trauma and dissociation theory and evidence-based psychotherapy to understand how each person's particular mind, brain, body, relationships and life experiences fit together.
Rather than working from a single therapy model, I draw flexibly from approaches including EMDR, ego-state and parts-based therapies, clinical hypnosis, cognitive, humanistic, psychodynamic, systemic and body based approaches. The methods used are selected according to the individual formulation and what appears most useful at each stage of therapy.
I have particular expertise in PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, attachment difficulties, functional neurological symptoms, sensitive temperament and neurodiversity.
My aim is to understand the patterns that have helped your brain and mind adapt to experience, and to work collaboratively with you to help those patterns change where they are no longer serving you.
I compassionately integrate therapies that produce lasting & deep changes across the brain as quickly as possible. I offer open-ended or time-limited integrative psychological therapy to individuals, couples or groups, as well as supervision, consultation, training & collaboration.
I'm available internationally online from Tuesday to Friday with flexible scheduling. I also offer in-person sessions, if clinically indicated (London, UK).
I also offer supervision, consultation & collaboration.
I emphasize biopsychosocial perspectives to mental wellbeing within a humanistic framework. I focus on understanding you as a unique individual and how your experiences and environment have influenced your development into the person you are now. I use my expertise in neurobiology of learning, memory & neuroplasticity to understand how your brain became wired into who you are now. I choose the evidence-based approaches that can re-wire your brain to fulfill the potential of all aspects of who you are. This integrative approach enables us to apply all mechanisms of neuroplasticity, learning & memory to reach your goals. These approaches can include experiential, emotion-focused, body-based, action, cognitive and psychodynamic methods, as needed and as you prefer. I emphasize memory reconsolidation approaches because these can completely and permanently resolve any stuck points at their roots. I also emphasize attachment theory and attachment-informed approaches, which explain and support child development, emotional regulation and relationships with aspects of oneself, others and the world.
